I think it’s nice to look back and see what my readers enjoyed most at the end of each year, and I must say, I was a little surprised when I saw the results: 8 of the 10 top viewed recipes which I published in 2014 were sweet! Only French Onion Soup and Pasta and Beans made the cut in the savory category, so I think there are a lot of you who share my “sweet teeth” (I don’t have just one sweet tooth)!

So here they are, beginning with my most viewed recipe post from last year~

P.S. I’d like to add my most viewed post and the only one which actually went viral last year, and hopefully will again, even though it’s not a recipe. I shared some information about pink peppercorns/pepperberries which could potentially save lives, so if you know anyone who has a tree nut allergy, please send them the following post. My daughter discovered the problem the hard way, by unknowingly ingesting the pepper and having an anaphylactic reaction.

  1. Dear Christina,
I have no favorites because they all are my favorites. I think I love them all. Everyone has a sweet tooth, some more than others. I remember them when you first posted these amazing dishes. Your photos are just beautiful which enhances the foods. I want to try the Yeast Doughnuts and the Butterfly cupcakes. I always look forward to your posts, because I get to see what’s next on Christina’s Cucina! Thanks again for a fabulous year and hope this year surpasses your success in all that you do.
    Dottie :)

  2. Christina, everything in that lineup is amazing. Could never pick just one, I had saved several of those recipes to try and do plan on it soon.

  3. I enjoy your recipes, Christina, as I told you on Facebook. As an ex-Pat, I particularly enjoyed your scones recipe (although I pronounce it the “southern” way – LOL!) I also enjoy all the stories you weave into each of your recipes – makes it so much more personal. I don’t do much baking myself anymore, as there’s only one of me, but it would be helpful, from time to time, if you could offer the amounts necessary for 1-2 people. Just a thought!

    1. Thanks so much, Heather! That’s okay, I’ll still talk to you if you pronounce “scone” the southern way…haha! ;)

Regarding the amounts for 1 to 2 servings, that would be difficult for me to do on every recipe, but here are a couple of suggestions:
      1. cut the recipe in half; many times, this will work out to be about 2 to 3 servings
      2. make the full recipe, but freeze what you don’t need right away- this is brilliant as it saves you from messing up your kitchen when you have it the second and or third time (like the scones, freeze them before baking and you can pull out one or two at a time to bake hot and fresh!)

Thanks, Heather! Hope this helps… CC

  4. Both soups!!! I haven’t managed the limoncello cheesecake (yet) or the yeasted doughnuts . . . but I have a feeling (a real good feeling) that I will be soon enough!
Btw, do you have a recipe for an Epiphany cake (King’s cake) where a charm or bean is hidden in the cake?

Thanks for all your posts on Facebook and your wonderful recipes!

    Happy New Year!

    1. Hi Louise! Thank you for your comments and compliment! :) I don’t have a King’s Cake recipe on my blog, but my friend Cynthia does and I totally trust her recipes. She’s professionally trained and just as passionate about cooking and baking as I am. Here you go: http://whatagirleats.com/king-cake/

Happy New Year to you too, Louise! I appreciate you being a loyal follower! :) Christina
