As you may know from my previous post on how to eat kumquats, these little pearls of citrus googness are the opposite of what we’re accustomed to with other citrus fruit, like oranges and tangerines. The skin of the kumquat is sweet, and the juice is sour.
Kumquat martini are the perfect way to take advantage of this sweet and sour goodness. I combined the kumquats with Grand Marnier and vodka for a winning combination! If you want to cut down on sugar, see the notes for a different option for rimming the glasses!
If you have any kumquats on your tree, or have picked some up at your local market, give this kumquat martini recipe a go. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

- Great tip from reader Jacqueline Lawless "I dehydrate my kumquats and use them in my homemade granola and as a garnish in cocktails. I also put a few dried kumquats into a spice blender, blitz them into a powder and rim my cocktail glasses with the powder for an extra zing."

I’m going to make these today. I would like to share a little tip with you as well. I dehydrate my kumquats and use them in my homemade granola and as a garnish in cocktails. I also put a few dried kumquats into a spice blender, blitz them into a powder and rim my cocktail glasses with the powder for an extra zing. Using powdered kumquats on the rim on a glass with a Golden Dream cocktail is heaven. I hope you try it and love it as much as my family do. Thanks for the fabulous recipes!
Oh I love this idea, Jacqueline! I will add it to my post as it sounds wonderful (I will credit you!) Thank you so much!
I seriously need this service! How handy for parties too. No one wants to go out for more booze when the party’s going! I love your martini too! I’ll bet it tastes amazing!
Right? Drizly’s a lifesaver! ;)
