Here are 11 kumquat recipes for you to use those tiny citrus fruits that most people just don’t know what to do with! From breakfast to cocktails, there’s something everyone will enjoy.

Kumquats are a winter fruit here in Southern California. I have a small tree, but it produces a lot of fruit.

Many of my neighbors have kumquat trees or bushes, too. However, almost everyone I speak to doesn’t eat them. In fact, they don’t even pick them because they just don’t know what to do with them, which is a terrible shame.

Kumquats are wonderful miniature citrus fruits which have a rind that is sweeter than their juice! You can read about how to eat a kumquat (to make it sweeter) HERE.

Given that my neighbors who have kumquats aren’t sure what to do with them, I thought I’d create a list of recipes for those of you who have kumquats you’d like to use, but are in the same boat. Thanks for all the creative souls who allowed me to use their photos here on my site. I hope you find a few recipes you’ll enjoy making.
