Prepare the glasses by rubbing half a kumquat around the rim and dipping in sugar.
Cut the kumquats in half and remove all the pits. Keep two or three thin slices aside to garnish the glass.
Put the ice, kumquats, Grand Marnier, vodka and sugar in the blender jar.
Blend until smooth and pour into martini glasses.
Notes
Adjust the sugar and alcohol to your desired taste/strength.
Great tip from reader Jacqueline Lawless "I dehydrate my kumquats and use them in my homemade granola and as a garnish in cocktails. I also put a few dried kumquats into a spice blender, blitz them into a powder and rim my cocktail glasses with the powder for an extra zing."
