Goat cheese fondue (or dip) is a fabulous appetizer you can whip up in 5 minutes with only two ingredients, and impress your guests at the same time.
I don’t know if there’s such a thing as a “goat-cheese gene,” but I can guarantee if there is, I have it! I’m in love with goat cheese.

I finally tried (and succeeded) in making goat cheese fondue, or dip, and it was just as heavenly as one I had in a favorite restaurant. I was brave and asked the waiter how they make it, and they said it was just two ingredients.
So I came home and mixed the dairy products in a small pan, heated it gently and it was ready to go; much too simple, I’m afraid.

It’s hard to believe there are only two ingredients in this incredible appetizer. It’s so delicious and filling, you can just add a charcuterie platter and a glass of wine and call it a light dinner!
What kind of Cheese do I use?
For this recipe, the soft, log cheese which usually says “chevre” (goat in French) is the the one to use. Use a good quality cheese for the best flavor.
Goat Cheese Fondue

Ingredients
- goat cheese (log type)
- heavy whipping cream
- To serve: bread and organic Granny Smith apples
Special equipment: measuring jug, fondue pot (optional)
Place the goat cheese and cream into a small pot over medium-low heat. Using a small whisk, stir constantly.
It will only take a few minutes until a smooth consistency is reached.
Pour into fondue pot or ramekin. Remember that this is very rich, so a little goes a long way.

A two ingredient goat cheese dip that's fabulous for any occasion.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup (4 oz) heavy whipping cream
- 2/3 cup (6 oz) goat cheese
Instructions
- Place the goat cheese and cream into a small pot over medium-low heat. Using a small whisk, stir constantly. It will only take a few minutes until a smooth consistency is reached.
- Pour into fondue pot or ramekin. Remember that this is very rich, so a little goes a long way.
Notes
Serve with chunks of lightly toasted bread and sliced green apples.
