A buttery topping filled with maple syrup and peaches for ice cream, breakfast dishes and more.
2 peaches ripe, sliced (nectarines are fine, too) 2 Tbsp butter good quality, salted 2 Tbsp brown sugar ½ cup maple syrup (real maple syrup!) 1 Tbsp Grand Marnier or Peach Schnapps
Get Recipe Ingredients
Place the peaches and butter in a sauté pan and cook gently for about 2 minutes.
Add the brown sugar.And then the maple syrup.
Continue to simmer over medium heat for another 2 to 3 minutes.
Remove from heat and add the liqueur if using. Serve as desired.
Any stone fruit works in this recipe: nectarines, plums, apricots, etc.
