Blood Orange Margarita

A citrusy margarita to celebrate any occasion, but especially perfect for Cinco de Mayo.

Ingredients

  • 3 fl oz blood orange juice
  • 1 fl oz lime juice
  • 2 fl oz tequila
  • 1 fl oz triple sec
  • 2 cups ice

Instructions

Prep the glasses

  • Cut the blood oranges in half and rim the margarita glasses with their juice.
  • Prep a plate with some coarse salt and use the juice to stick the salt to the rim. 

Juice the fruit

  • Juice the blood oranges and limes. Pour into the measuring cup.

Combine the ingredients

  • Add ice to the cocktail shaker. Pour in the blood orange and lime juice into the shaker. Next, add the tequila and triple sec.
  • Shake for 5 to 10 seconds and pour into your prepared glasses. Garnish with a blood orange slice and enjoy!

  • Perfect for Cinco de Mayo!
