Fish and Chips in NYC!

March 29th, 2013 | 5 Comments

For British style fish and chips in NYC, check out A Salt and Battery in Manhattan. They’ve even got Irn Bru and HP Sauce!

Surprise!!!

Yesterday was a day of surprises. My daughter and her best friend who moved to Philadelphia last summer, “accidentally” ran into each other in New York City (thanks to her friend’s dad and me)!  We walked around the city, went to the top of the Empire State Building, you know, the whole tourist thing.

I’m in New York City for the first time ever and want to tell you that if you visit Manhattan this is where you need to come for fish and chips in NYC. I also give them points for brilliant name: A Salt and Battery! And for the fact that they had HP Sauce and Irn Bru!

Eventually, I’ll get back to posting recipes when I’m back in LA, but in the meantime, I’ll be indulging in the fabulous food that the East Coast has to offer. Speaking of which, I’m hungry–gotta go!

Thanks for the tip, Ilaria, but there just wasn’t enough time to do a quarter of what we would have liked to do, but I’ll definitely be going back!! However, I must say that after visiting their website, maybe it’s better I didn’t go! I would have needed to check 2 more suitcases to come home! :)
